Detroit Lakes , MN (KDLM)-
A new outdoor art display is now on view at Long Lake Park near Detroit Lakes.
Visitors are invited to check out “Art on a Stick,” a rotating public art exhibit created through a partnership between the City of Detroit Lakes Arts and Culture Commission and Project 412. Funded by Project 412 Wave Makers and a grant from the Blandin Foundation, the exhibit brings vibrant digitized vinyl artwork featuring a variety of artists and artistic styles into local parks. Visitors are encouraged to look at both sides of each display as they explore the exhibit.
Located at 17743 Longview Drive, Long Lake Park offers a variety of recreational amenities, including a picnic shelter, playground, disc golf course, horseshoe pits, and lake access. The nearly 39-acre park also features a DNR boat launch, restrooms, picnic tables, and a kitchen-equipped shelter available for public rental.
The combination of public art, outdoor recreation, and scenic lake views makes Long Lake Park a great destination for families and visitors looking to enjoy a summer day outdoors.
