Detroit Lakes, MN – On Tuesday night, the City of Detroit Lakes celebrated the official ribbon cutting of the new Heartland State Trail Trailhead.
City officials say this addition provides a welcoming gateway for residents and visitors enjoying one of Minnesota’s premier trail systems. The new trailhead includes: parking, an EV Charging Station, a bicycle repair tool station, a water filling station, public restrooms, a shelter, and convenient access to the Heartland State Trail.
The City says the project enhances the trail experience for cyclists, walkers, runners, and outdoor enthusiasts while supporting tourism, recreation, and sustainable transportation in the community.
