Detroit Lakes , MN (KDLM)-
The City of Detroit Lakes is partnering with Vitalant, a nonprofit blood donation organization, for a community blood drive Friday.
The “A Scary Good Giveaway” blood drive will be held from 9 am to 1:30 pm in the City Hall Community Room at 1025 Roosevelt Avenue.
People who donate blood through Vitalant during October will be entered into a drawing for one of two $10,000 gift cards.
The need for blood doesn’t take a break. Vitalant says someone in the United States needs blood every two seconds, and one donation can potentially help up to three people.
Sign-up information is available on the City of Detroit Lakes Facebook page.
