Debate Scheduled For October 19th In Brainerd Between Demuth And Klobuchar

Detroit Lakes , MN (KDLM)- One debate between the DFL and GOP Minnesota Gubernatorial candidates is officially scheduled for October 19 in Brainerd.

Democratic U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar and Republican Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth will face off in an invite only forum hosted by the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce.

The debate is in partnership with the Brainerd Lakes Chamber and it will happen at Madden’s on Gull Lake. KSTP Chief Political Reporter Tom Hauser will be the debate moderator. The debate will go from 9am to 10:30am.

There is no debate officially scheduled between the U.S. Senate candidates running to replace retiring U.S. Senator Tina Smith. That race is between DFL Minnesota Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan and Republican Ex-Sportscaster Michelle Tafoya.
