Two New Providers Join Essentia Health in Detroit Lakes

Essentia Health St. Mary’s-Detroit Lakes Clinic has welcomed two new health care providers who are now seeing patients in the community.

Shari Strozier is an advanced practice registered nurse and certified nurse practitioner specializing in behavioral health.

Strozier says psychiatry has always been meaningful to her because of the relationships she is able to build with patients and the opportunity to help people navigate some of the most difficult and vulnerable periods of their lives.

The clinic has also welcomed Meredith Gaer, a certified physician assistant working in urgent care.

Gaer says she was drawn to the opportunity to begin working in a close-knit community in the Lakes Area and wanted a profession that would have a meaningful impact on patients’ lives.

Both providers say they look forward to getting to know the Detroit Lakes community and caring for local patients.
