Detroit Lakes, MN – A Detroit Lakes man is in custody after threatening to “take down” law enforcement officers in Becker County.
Prosecutors say the Becker County SWAT team assisted in arresting 32-year-old Caleb Nicholas Fellini at his home on Friday, June 19. According to court documents, Fellini was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant.
After officers unsuccessfully searched for him at a handful of places in Detroit Lakes, prosecutors say Fellini called Becker County dispatch on June 18 and threatened to kill officers, saying things like,
- “I want you guys to come find me so I can put you guys down.”
- “Bring the god damn squad because we are going out with a boom.”
- “Y’all wanna play, I’m gonna take some of your officers with me.”
- “I’m not here alone and I’m fully armed, I’m gonna get my justice”
- and, “You aren’t going to catch me but if you do, I’m gonna take one of you out with me.”
On Friday, law enforcement executed a search warrant on Fellini’s home and he surrendered and was arrested by the SWAT Team. Fellini has been charged for threats of violence and appeared in court on Monday.
At the time of this conduct, Fellini was out on release in a Becker County court case which includes a felony obstruction charge. The allegations in that case involve Fellini fighting with officers, attempting to disarm an officer and threatening to kill officers on April 2, 2026.
