Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Vikings are the last unbeaten team in the NFL after grinding out a 16-10 win over the Indianapolis Colts Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Minnesota improved to 6-and-0 by rallying from a fourth-quarter deficit, with the defense holding Indianapolis scoreless over the final 30 minutes.
The Colts struck first when Jonathan Taylor broke loose for a 38-yard touchdown run midway through the first quarter. Will Reichard answered with field goals of 28 and 47 yards in the second quarter, but Indianapolis kicked a 43-yarder in the final seconds of the half to take a 10-6 lead into the locker room.
After a scoreless third quarter, Kyler Murray put the Vikings in front on the opening play of the fourth, hitting T.J. Hockenson on a five-yard touchdown pass. Reichard added the extra point and then sealed it with a 52-yard field goal with 1:44 remaining.
Murray finished 14 of 24 for 150 yards and a touchdown without an interception. The Vikings ran for 136 yards and didn’t turn the ball over.
Minnesota’s defense sacked the Colts’ quarterback four times, picked off a pass and held Indianapolis to 218 total yards. The Colts also missed two field goals.
