Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Lynx beat the Dallas Wings 85-77 in Arlington, Texas on Sunday, handing head coach Cheryl Reeve a share of the WNBA’s all-time record for career coaching wins.

Reeve tied Mike Thibault for the most regular-season victories in league history at 379. She already holds the WNBA record for playoff wins. Reeve can claim the regular-season mark outright when Minnesota visits the New York Liberty on Friday.

The milestone came one night after Reeve was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Natasha Howard and Olivia Miles led the Lynx with 21 points apiece. Howard added 14 rebounds and three steals for a double-double, going 9 for 17 from the field. Miles handed out eight assists, went a perfect 8 for 8 from the free-throw line and has now scored 64 points over her last three games. Kayla McBride chipped in 17 points and four 3-pointers, while Courtney Williams added 12.

Minnesota controlled the game from the opening tip. The Lynx led 28-16 after the first quarter and pushed the margin to 45-29 by halftime, holding Dallas to 11 of 37 shooting with eight turnovers before the break. The lead grew to as many as 23 points.

The win moved the Lynx to 15-4 on the season, including a 9-1 mark on the road and a 3-0 sweep of Dallas this year. It was Minnesota’s fifth victory in six games.

Paige Bueckers paced the Wings with 25 points on 10 of 17 shooting. Azzi Fudd added 21 points, connecting on 12 of her first 14 shots, and Jessica Shepard pulled down 16 rebounds. Dallas fell to 11-8.

The Lynx travel to New York to face the Liberty on Friday, where Reeve can break the tie with Thibault and stand alone atop the WNBA’s career wins list.
