Detroit Lakes Woman Arrested for Breaking Into Neighbor’s Home and Assaulting Her

Detroit Lakes, MN – A Detroit Lakes woman has been charged with burglary for breaking into her neighbor’s house and assaulting her.

Becker County prosecutors say that on Friday, June 12, Detroit Lakes Police were called to a house on Minnesota Avenue for a report of a domestic incident. When officers arrived, they saw 29-year-old Matraccia Sky Lague follow the victim and throw her to the ground, after which the victim threw up.

Police learned that Lague became upset at the victim because she believed the neighbor was having an affair with the father of Lague’s children. Lague then broke into the victim’s house next door and began assaulting her.

Lague made her first court appearance on Monday and has been charged with 1st degree burglary and misdemeanor assault.
