St. Cloud, Minn. (KNSI) – Two people were hurt and a teenager is in custody after a shooting at a house party in St. Cloud on Sunday morning.

On Oct. 29, the St. Cloud Police Department responded to a shooting in the 2500 block of 42nd Avenue South at around 2:15 a.m.

Officers found an 18-year-old in the front yard with a gunshot wound to the chest. Other officers arriving on the scene stopped two vehicles from leaving.

Inside one of the stopped vehicles was a 19-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the arm.

Both victims are from St. Cloud.

The 18-year-old remains hospitalized at CentraCare St. Cloud in serious condition. The man was treated and released.

Investigators say they believe an altercation took place inside a house party, leading to the shooting.

A 17-year-old juvenile male was taken into custody outside the house.

The teenage boy is facing charges of possession of a firearm without a serial number, carrying a pistol without a permit, and giving false information to police.

He was taken to a nearby juvenile detention facility.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
