Bernie Sanders Supports Peggy Flanagan At Rally, Former President Obama Endorses Flanagan

Detroit Lakes , MN (KDLM)- Roughly 1,000 were in attendance when U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders spoke at a rally last Saturday in Duluth to support U.S Senate and Minnesota Attorney General candidates Peggy Flanagan and Keith Ellison. Sanders called out President Donald Trump and asked voters to support Democrats to take control of Congress. Flanagan is running against Republican Michele Tafoya in the U.S. Senate to replace retiring U.S. Senator Tina Smith. Ellison is seeking a third term as Minnesota AG, and he is running against Republican Challenger Ron Schutz. Election day is next Tuesday, November 3rd. 

Former President Barack Obama has endorsed  Peggy Flanagan in the Minnesota U.S. Senate. Obama announced his endorsement in a campaign video, and this comes as President Donald Trump has endorsed Flanagan’s opponent, Michele Tafoya.
