Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Gophers will try to stay unbeaten in Big Ten play when they visit Purdue Saturday night in Week Six of the college football season.
Minnesota is 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the conference after beating Michigan 20-14 last Saturday in Minneapolis. Second-half interceptions by Aydan West and Zack Harden set up Gopher scores, and the win brought the Little Brown Jug back to Minnesota for the first time since 2014. It was also the first time the Gophers had won the trophy on their home field since 1977. A week earlier, Minnesota won 27-24 at Washington.
Kickoff at Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Indiana is set for 7:00 p.m. on the Big Ten Network. The Gophers have a bye week on October 17th before hosting Iowa on October 24th.
Elsewhere, North Dakota State is 5-0 and visits UNLV on Saturday. North Dakota is 5-1 and plays at Northern Iowa.
