Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Vikings hope to remain perfect in Week Four when they host the Miami Dolphins on Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium. Kickoff is 3:05 p.m. on FOX.
Minnesota improved to 3-0 with a win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week, 23-16. Miami comes in 0-3 and will be without running back De’Von Achane, who was placed on injured reserve with a torn ACL earlier this week.
The Vikings may be short-handed too. Star receiver Justin Jefferson has not practiced this week after leaving the Tampa Bay game on his seventh snap with an ankle sprain. Follow-up imaging did not show a long-term injury, and head coach Kevin O’Connell has called Jefferson day-to-day.
The matchup puts Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores across from the team he used to coach. It’s also the first time Minnesota has hosted the Dolphins at U.S. Bank Stadium since 2018, and only the second time overall.
In other news, the Vikings signed cornerback Natrone Brooks to the practice squad on Thursday. The 26-year-old went undrafted out of Southern Miss and spent his first three seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, playing all 17 games last season, before a brief stint on the Detroit Lions’ practice squad this month. The move adds cornerback depth with Charles Demmings expected to miss some time with a hamstring injury.
