Lynx Carry 10-Game Winning Streak Into Thursday Matchup With Sparks

Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Lynx will put the WNBA’s longest active winning streak on the line Thursday night when they host the Los Angeles Sparks at Target Center.

Minnesota has not lost since July 6th, when Connecticut edged the Lynx 90-89 at Target Center. The 10 wins since include a sweep of a two-game set in Seattle, a season split-free sweep of Toronto and a 108-100 win over the Indiana Fever on Sunday, August 2nd. Six of the 10 came against teams currently below .500.

The run has pushed the Lynx to 25-6, the best record in the WNBA and three-and-a-half games clear of Las Vegas and Golden State atop the Western Conference. Minnesota has scored 100 or more points in four of its last eight games.

Los Angeles arrives at 11-17 and sitting fifth in the West. The Sparks have already dropped both meetings with Minnesota this season — 99-83 in Los Angeles on June 17th and 96-87 at Target Center on July 15th.

Tipoff Thursday, August 6th is set for 8:00 p.m. The Lynx stay home through the weekend, hosting Las Vegas at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, August 8th, and Dallas at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, August 9th.
