Detroit Lakes , MN (KDLM)-
Project 412 is continuing its vision of creating a one-of-a-kind garden and sculpture park in Detroit Lakes.
Located on 50 acres on the east edge of the city, Ortenstone Gardens and Sculpture Park features walking trails, interactive sculptures, gardens, and seasonal events that encourage exploration and creativity.
Project 412 Executive Director Amy Stearns says the nonprofit’s mission is to “do cool stuff” that helps elevate living in Detroit Lakes. She says Ortenstone Gardens is a key part of that vision, with the long-term goal of creating a nationally significant destination.
General Manager Kate Stearns says the park’s new gift shop officially opens this Friday. She says the gardens are in full bloom, the weather is beautiful, and it’s the perfect time to visit.
