Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Twins are back home after a stretch on the road, opening a three-game series against the Cleveland Guardians tonight at Target Field. First pitch is scheduled for 6:40 p.m.
The Twins closed out their road trip by taking two straight from the New York Yankees, winning 11-4 on Saturday and 6-1 on Sunday. Minnesota will look to carry that momentum into tonight’s series opener and extend the win streak to three.
The Twins enter the series at 44-47, sitting third in the American League Central. Cleveland is just ahead of them in second place at 47-44. The two clubs will continue the series Wednesday and Thursday, both games also at Target Field, before Minnesota opens a homestand against the Los Angeles Angels on Friday.
