Twins Take Down White Sox In Series Opener

Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Twins beat the Chicago White Sox 9-6 in the opener of their series in Minneapolis.

Tristan Gray led the offense with a grand slam and five RBIs. Joe Ryan battled through six innings, allowing four runs on eight hits, as Minnesota snapped a five-game losing streak.

The win moves the Twins to 28-33, good for third place in the AL Central. Connor Prielipp gets the start against the White Sox tonight.

In other club news, the Twins acquired reliever Justin Lawrence from the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday.
