Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Detroit Lakes City Council on Tuesday night unanimously approved a parking lot split at the Boys and Girls Club Thrift Store and More on Highway 10, clearing another hurdle for supermarket chain ALDI to potentially open a location in Detroit Lakes.
ALDI has not yet made a formal announcement on its plans to expand to Detroit Lakes, but the new blueprints and designs presented to the council on Tuesday night show plans for the grocery store, which will share a parking lot with the Boys and Girls Club Thrift Store.
ALDI currently has 71 locations in Minnesota, including stores in Dilworth, Brainerd, Bemidji, Alexandria, St. Cloud, Little Falls as well as Fargo.
