LAKE PARK, MN (KDLM) – A Lake Park-Audubon high school senior has a lofty goal with a new fundraising challenge, which provides meals to families in need in the LPA School District.

Sam Bestge’s Meals for Many campaign has launched its fundraising goal for this year. The goal is to raise $25,000 in order to provide 60 families with multiple meals over the holiday break.

For the last six years, Sam and his fundraiser have been able to provide multiple balanced meals for families in the LPA district. Last year, 60 families received Sam’s Meals for Many meal boxes that included nine meals so they would have enough food for over the break.

Sam, who started the pay-it-forward campaign in sixth grade, is a senior this year and is in the process of transitioning leadership to the LPA student leadership organizations so that the fundraiser can continue after he graduates.

There are multiple ways to donate to Sam’s Meals for Many. You can make a cash donation to Sam or any other LPA National Honor Society member, you can drop off donations at the LPA office, or donate on his GoFundMe page.
