
DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – The Detroit Lakes DMV will now be open Saturdays to help Minnesotans who have been unable to renew their driver’s licenses due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
More than 200,000 Minnesotan’s driver’s license extensions will expire on March 31.
14 DMV locations across the state including the location in Detroit Lakes will be open each Saturday, beginning Feb. 20 to March 27 from 8am-4pm to help with the influx of renewals.
Renewal applications are received on a first-come-first-served basis and no appointments are required.
Additionally those that don’t need to make changes or upgrade to a REAL ID can renew online at drive.mn.gov.
