DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – A Farmers to Families Food Box distribution will take place in Detroit Lakes on Monday.
Families can drive through the parking lot of the Boys and Girls Club Thrift Store on Highway 10 on Monday, Feb. 22 at 5 pm to receive a food box containing meat, dairy, vegetables and fruit.
The boxes are provided by the USDA Farmers to Families program and are being distributed by volunteers. There are no proof of income or address requirements; while the limit is one box per household per drive through, more than one box will be given if more than one household is represented.
More than 132 million Farmers to Families Food Boxes have been given away throughout the U.S. since May of 2020.
