PARK RAPIDS, MN (KDLM) – The Lakers Girls Track and Field team finished first in eight events on their way to a third-consecutive MidState Conference Title in Park Rapids on Tuesday.

The Lakers won the meet with a team score of 167, 29 points ahead of second-place Park Rapids. Abby Larson finished first in the 100m for the second-straight year and also won the 200m, Jacee Hauser took first (and set PRs) in the shotput and discus, Rylee Johnson defended her Conference title in the 100m hurdles, Grace Gunderson won her second Conference title in the long jump, Jacee Hauser defended her shotput title from last year and also won the discus, Annie Paulson won the 300m hurdles and Lily Anderson won the Triple Jump.

The Laker boys team finished in fourth place with a team score of 76. Brandton Marsh won the Triple Jump and the 4×100 relay team of Cameron Marxen, Mason Carrier, Jack Pace, and Hunter Zempel took first place.

The Laker Girls team will compete at the True Team State meet in Stillwater on Saturday after they won the True Team Section Meet last week. The Boys team will compete in Bemidji on May 23rd.
