FERGUS FALLS, MN (KDLM) – The Laker Girls Track and Field Team won the Section 8AA True Team Meet in Fergus Falls yesterday with a team score of 561.

Abby Larson took first in the 100m, and the 200m, and was a part of the first-place 4×100 team with Ella Paulson, Morgan Hausten, and Jerzie Horner. Annie Paulson took first in the 300m hurdles.

Sasha Sekundiak took third in the 400, Helena Daggett was fifth in the 800, Julia Steffl finished fourth in the 1600m, Rylee Johnson was fourth in the 100m hurdles, and the 4×200 team of Annie Paulson, Haydon King, Jerzie Horner, and Ella Paulson placed third, The 4×400 team with Grace Gunderson, Helena Daggett, Haydon King, and Annie Paulson finished second, Brenna Skadsem and Jacee Hauser finished fourth and fifth in the shot put, Elle Bettcher took third in the discus, Grace Gunderson tied for second in the high jump, Jerzie Horner tied for third in the pole vault, and Lily Anderson placed third in the Triple Jump.

The Lakers will compete at the State True Team meet in Stillwater on Saturday, May 21st.

 

 

The boys team placed sixth with a 462.5. Ethan Carrier won the 100, Alexander Fletcher took first and Zach Olson took third in the 110m hurdles, the 4×100 team of Cameron Marxen, Ethan Carrier, Jack Pace, and Mason Carrier took second, Brandton Marsh, Cameron Marxen, Caden Strand, and Mason Carrier won the 4×200, Marsh also took second in the triple jump, and Fletcher placed fifth in the high jump.

The next meet for the Lakers is the MidState Conference Meet at Mollberg Field next Tuesday, May 17th.
