DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – The Detroit Lakes Fire Department received nearly $14,000 in donations this week.
Detroit Lakes based business, BTD Manufacturing donated $4,495, Minnesota based nonprofit, “Turn in Poachers” donated $5,000 and local resident, Curt Hegg donated $4,000.
It’s really nice to get those donations to our Fire Department, those guys do a great job and we’re really fortunate to have a terrific Fire Department here in Detroit Lakes,” said Detroit Lakes Mayor Matt Brenk.
The donations will be used by the Detroit Lakes Fire Department to help purchase new equipment.
