Detroit Lakes Wrestling wins Al Olson Memorial Tournament to Open Season

FOSSTON, MN (KDLM) – The Detroit Lakes wrestling team opened their 2021-22 season at the Al Olson Memorial Tournament in Fosston with a first-place finish.

Six Lakers won their individual weight classes on Saturday: Cole Weber (132), Cade Okeson (152), Cailen Abrahams (160), Cade Jackson (170), Jacob Ehnert (220), and Jeff Moen (285).

Jared Ohm-Mehrer (113), Tyson Ullyott (145), and Connor Zamzo (220) all finished in second in their weight classes.

The Lakers will host their first home meet of the season on Friday, December 10th against Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton at 6:00. You can listen to the meet on 102.3 KRCQ.
