Downtown Detroit Lakes Businesses Partner to Encourage Shopping Local

DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – Downtown Detroit Lakes businesses have partnered to encourage shoppers to shop local, this weekend.

The first ever, Pink Friday event will feature sixteen businesses offering sales and a shopping passport for shoppers to get stamped for a chance to win one of four, $400 gift certificates.

Pink Friday events are becoming more popular in local communities across the country as a way to encourage customers to shop local before Thanksgiving and Black Friday.

Businesses participating in the event in Detroit Lakes both Friday and Saturday include, Ambience Salon, Beautiful Junque, Cinemagic 7, Design 2 Sell, Gliks, JQ Clothing Co, La Barista, Leela & Lavender, Mainstream Boutique, Manna Food Co-op, Northbound Girl, Red Pine Quilt Shop, Red Willow, Skirting The Rules, Turn North and Vintage N Vogue.
