ST. PAUL (KDLM) – Rep. Michelle Fischbach has introduced a bipartisan bill to rename the post office in Vergas.

Under the proposed bill, the Vergas Post Office would be renamed after Jon Glawe, a veteran who dedicated 36 years to delivering mail in Vergas, taking over the route of his later father.

A second bill would rename the post office in Oklee after Coya Knutson in honor of the first female elected to Congress from Minnesota.

ā€œI’m proud to have the support of the Minnesota delegation in renaming two post offices after local heroes,ā€ said Rep. Fischbach.
