Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – Detroit Lakes High School senior outfielder Jordan Tucker has signed his National Letter of Intent to play baseball for the Bismarck State College Mystics.

Tucker will be a four-year starter for the Lakers when the baseball season opens next spring. As a junior, Tucker led the Lakers in average, runs scored, stolen bases, OPS, and was selected to both the Midstate All-Conference team as well as the All-Section 8AAA Team.

Tucker also played for the Burk Black Sox 16U team in Texas in 2019, leading the team with a.604 average and a 1.592 OPS. He also hit .727 for the Vergas Loons amateur team that summer.

This summer, he played in four tournaments with the Arizona Monarchs scout team and led the team in stolen bases, OBP, and runs scored. He is set to return to Mesa for one final tournament on December 19-21, 2021.

Tucker also played for the Fall MinDak team, which is an all-star prospect team out of Fargo. He led that team in average, runs scored, stolen bases, and OPS. Tucker was the first of seven players on that team to sign with college teams.

Tucker chose Bismarck State because he likes the campus, location, the coach. Tucker will also have the opportunity to step into the Mystics lineup right away and make a big team impact as a freshman, as well as have other summer baseball opportunities in the western part of the country.

Tucker will study Sports Marketing/Management while at Bismarck State.
