DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – Cabinets Plus in Detroit Lakes has added two new team members.
Rachel Caulfield and Claudia Mendoza have joined the company as Kitchen and Bath Designers and are looking forward to offering their services from project concept to completion. Caulfield, who has a degree in Interior Design says she’s excited to help Lakes Area home and cabin owners make their dreams into reality.
The process, she says starts with a design consultation, “We start with your style and go from there, then we’ll measure your space, layout some ideas and come up with a final floorplan.” From there they’ll help make your vision, reality.
Mendoza, who studied Interior Design in Peru and the United States, says textures and colors help bring ideas to life and she’s excited about some of the current trends. “In the Lakes Area the modern farmhouse is still very popular, but many of our clients are beginning to look at modern industrial styles.”
The look, emphasizes the use of distressed wood elements and exposed bricks from a turn-of-the-century industrial era with a twist, adding in things like copper to accent weathered looking pieces and installing unique lighting.
When a client does not know exactly what they want she says, “We can help to find options to discover what their style is and what can help them function better in their daily lives.”
No matter the style that is being implemented, the experience is what motivates Caulfield, “When we see that vision come to life, and the smile on our client’s faces – that’s my favorite part”.
Cabinets Plus offers a one stop shop concept with a selection of cabinets, countertops, tile for backsplashes and custom showers, flooring and more. Cabinets can be used a lot of areas such as pantries, laundry rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, offices, craft rooms, family rooms and more.
Custom closets and garage spaces are also now becoming more popular; “Everyone wants to be more organized,” said Caulfield and Mendoza. Both women are helping more and more customers transform cluttered closets and garages into clean and efficient storage areas – or even man caves.
Caulfield and Mendoza are available for design consultation now, visit them in the Cabinets Plus showroom at 1632 Dan St. in Detroit Lakes or setup a free consultation online at cabinetsplusdl.com or by phone at 218-234-0042.
