In Detroit Lakes, voters elected Jamie Deraney and Thomas Klyve to the two at-large City Council seats. Shaun Carlson won in Ward 1, Zachary Foltz in Ward 2, and Matt Boeke in Ward 3.
The Detroit Lakes School Board race drew particular attention following months of public discussion and controversy over district policies, including the removal of non-school sponsored displays and materials from school property.
