40-Year-Old Becker County Man Charged With Felony Second-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct

Detroit Lakes , MN (KDLM)- A 40-year-old man from rural Ponsford has been charged with a felony for second-degree criminal sexual conduct in Becker County District Court. 

Jacob Rock is accused of sexually assaulting a girl digitally in Pine Point in 2024.  Court documents say a White Earth Police Department investigator returned the mother’s call, who reported her child had been assaulted when the girl was under 10 years old.

Rock was staying at a homeless shelter at the time of the allegations, and he was questioned by an investigator. Court documents also say that a witness mentioned how Rock was verbally angry about the investigation and that he essentially admitted to assaulting the girl.

Rock apparently denied the witnesses’ testimony and that they must have misunderstood what he was saying.

He is scheduled to appear in court on October 29th.
