Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Vikings could be without veteran running back Aaron Jones Sr. this weekend.
Head coach Kevin O’Connell said Wednesday that Jones was held out of practice as he works through a knee injury. O’Connell gave no indication whether the 31-year-old will be ready to play Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The injury leaves the Vikings dealing with a banged-up backfield as they try to stay unbeaten. Minnesota leads the NFC North with a 2-0 record.
NFL teams release game-status designations on Friday’s injury report, which should give a clearer picture of Jones’ availability.
