The Detroit Lakes Regional Chamber of Commerce recently held a ceremony to celebrate the groundbreaking of Lincoln Flats, a new housing development in Detroit Lakes.
The former Lincoln Elementary School, later known as the Lincoln Education Center, is being transformed into an apartment community featuring one, two and three-bedroom units with outdoor terraces.
According to the development’s website, Lincoln Flats will include an indoor recreation court for pickleball, fitness, community activities and year-round resident gatherings.
The property is located near downtown Detroit Lakes, City Beach, parks, shopping, restaurants and medical clinics.
Construction is expected to be completed in late 2027.
