Detroit Lakes , MN (KDLM)-
One of Detroit Lakes’ longest-running summer traditions returns this weekend as the 48th Annual Art in the Park takes place Sunday, July 26th from 9am to 3pm at Detroit Lakes City Park.
The event features dozens of artists and artisans offering original artwork and handcrafted goods, along with 11 food vendors, live music, DJ entertainment, and activity booths for all ages.
Event Coordinator Megan Gilsdorf says one of the things that makes Art in the Park special is that each year offers a different experience, with new artists and vendors joining returning favorites. Visitors can browse everything from fine art and handmade jewelry to home décor and unique gifts while enjoying a day along the lakeshore.
“You see people strolling through the park, visiting with artists, enjoying great food, listening to live music, and making memories with family and friends. It’s a celebration of creativity, community, and summertime in Detroit Lakes.”
Gilsdorf says that after 48 years, Art in the Park continues to bring together local and regional artists while attracting visitors to Detroit Lakes each summer. She says the event supports local businesses and showcases everything that makes the community special.
