The Detroit Lakes Jaycees’ “Stuck in the ’90s” Northwest Water Carnival continues this week and through this weekend as the community celebrates the event’s 90th anniversary.
Upcoming highlights include helicopter rides at the Becker County Fairgrounds, inflatable games at People’s Park, adult softball tournaments, and the annual Water Carnival Tennis Tournament.
Saturday night features the “Saved by the ’90s” Bash Night at Lakeside Tavern, with doors opening at 6 pm and live music beginning at 7:30 pm.
The celebration wraps up Sunday, July 19, with two of the Water Carnival’s signature events. The Parade of the Northwest steps off at 1 pm from the Kent Freeman Arena, traveling along West Lake Drive before heading north on Washington Avenue to Front Street.
