Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Lynx are back at Target Center tonight, hosting the Connecticut Sun as they try to shake off a loss to the New York Liberty that closed out a three-game road trip.
Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
Minnesota enters the night with the best record in the WNBA at 15-5, but the Lynx dropped their most recent outing 99-86 in New York on Friday. The team went two-and-one on the road trip, beating the Washington Mystics 78-76 and the Dallas Wings 85-77 before the loss to the Liberty snapped their momentum.
The Lynx have built their league-leading record without star forward Napheesa Collier, who has yet to make her 2026 season debut. Collier underwent surgery on both ankles over the offseason and returned to practice with the team last week, but the Lynx haven’t announced a timetable for her return to game action. Rookie Olivia Miles, the number two overall pick in this year’s draft, has helped carry the load in her absence.
Connecticut comes into Target Center in far different shape. The Sun sit near the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings at 4-16, with the worst record in the league.
Tonight’s matchup is the first of two meetings between the two teams this week. The Lynx and Sun will play again Wednesday in Connecticut.
