Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Timberwolves are one loss away from elimination after dropping Game Five of the Western Conference Semifinals to the San Antonio Spurs 126-97 Tuesday night at Frost Bank Center.
San Antonio outscored Minnesota in every quarter of the blowout, sending the Wolves back home trailing 3-2 in the best-of-seven series.
Anthony Edwards led Minnesota with 20 points. Julius Randle added 17 points and 10 rebounds.
The Timberwolves will try to force a Game Seven when the series returns to Minneapolis for Game Six on Friday.
