Authorities say five people were arrested following a series of coordinated drug-related search warrants executed Tuesday in the White Earth area.
According to the White Earth Police Department, officers carried out three consecutive search warrants on May 12th in the Village of White Earth, the Village of Naytahwaush, and the Roy Lake area.
The operation resulted in five arrests and the seizure of what officials described as a large amount of controlled substances. Authorities also say child welfare reports were forwarded to Indian Child Welfare officials.
The investigation involved assistance from multiple local, state, and federal agencies, including the Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the Minnesota State Patrol, and several regional sheriff’s departments and police agencies.
Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing and more arrests are anticipated. Law enforcement agencies say they will continue efforts to combat the sale and distribution of illegal drugs in the community.
