One injured during four-vehicle crash on Interstate 94 in Wilkin County

Detroit Lakes, Minn. (KDLM) – One person was injured when four vehicles collided during icy road conditions on westbound Interstate 94 in Wilkin County on Monday night.

On Oct. 30 at 7:10 p.m., two Freightliner Cascadia semi-tractor trailers, a Ford F-350 and a Toyota Corolla were all westbound on I-94 when the vehicles collided near mile marker 32 in Prairie View Township.

During the collision, the driver of the Ford, 44-year-old Dewight Keith Cooper of Houston, Texas, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Sanford Health in Fargo for treatment.

No other injuries were reported at the scene.

All six vehicle occupants who were involved in the crash were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the collision and law enforcement believes alcohol did not factor into the incident.
