Detroit Lakes, Minn. (KDLM) – Two people were injured during a two-vehicle crash occurring on Highway 10 at mile marker 80 in Otter Tail County on Tuesday evening.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on May 30 at 5:15 p.m., emergency dispatchers received a report of a two-vehicle crash with possible injuries in Newton Township.
A 2006 GMC Sierra, driven by 70-year-old Donna Marie Lee, of Sebeka, Minn., was traveling on Highway 10 when it collided with a 2023 Chevrolet Malibu.
Lee was not injured during the crash.
Both occupants of the Malibu, the driver, 40-year-old Roberto Garza, of New Symrna, Fla., and his passenger, 43-year-old Jeffrey Charles Etapa, of Port Orange, Fla., suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the crash and were transported to Astera Health in Wadena for treatment.
Airbags deployed in both vehicles during the collision and all three vehicle occupants were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
Alcohol is not believed to have played a role in the crash.
