PARK RAPIDS, MINN (KDLM) – The Detroit Lakes Lakers girls golf team won their 13th-straight MidState Conference title at Headwaters Golf Course on Monday, with a convincing 18-stroke victory.
Hanna Knoop finished second overall with a one-over-par 73 to pace the Lakers. Sydney Miller finished fourth with a 78, Tatum Gathridge was fifth with an 81, Sophie Christianson tied for ninth with a score of 84, Jaycie Sliper finished 12th with a 90, and Mya Boeke finished tied for 16th with a 98.
Anna Eckmann of Park Rapids won the individual conference title with a blistering four-under 68.
The Section 8AAA meet will also be held at Headwaters Golf Club on June 1st.
The Lakers are back in action this Wednesday at a meet at Madden’s in Brainerd.
