Bemidji, Minn (KDLM) – Detroit Lakes Boys Golf teed off at the Bemidji Invitational at the Bemidji Town and Country Club this morning, and finished second overall in the 18-team meet.
Tyler Stensgard (76) and Logan Schons (77) each finished in the top ten individually, with eighth and tenth-place finishes, respectively. Nick Tobkin finished 14th overall with a 79, Carter Whitworth finished 22nd with an 81, Ben Hines finished 28th with an 82, and Lawsen Justesen was 31st with an 83.
Moorhead junior Matt Gramer and WDC senior Cole Woods tied for medalist honors with an even-par 72.
The Lakers will host a two-day tournament this Friday and Saturday at the Detroit Country Club before heading to Headwaters Golf Course in Park Rapids on Monday for the Mid-State Conference meet. The Lakers have won 27 consecutive Mid-State Conference titles.
