Laker Boys Golf Finishes Sixth at Fargo North Invite at Forest Hills Golf Club

Detroit Lakes, Minn (KDLM) – The Detroit Lakes Lakers boys golf team finished in sixth place in the two-day, 15-team Fargo North Invitational at Forest Hills Golf Course in Detroit Lakes on Friday. The Lakers, led by Brock Burhans’ 158, shot a 669 in the two-round tournament.

Burhans shot 77/81/158 to finish ninth overall in the 109-golfer field. Owen Chiodo (88/82/170) and Noah Meyer (85/85/170) tied for 29th, Cameron Cannon was tied for 38th with a 93/79/172, Brody Bowers finished tied for 56th place with a 92/85/177, and Keifer Lundmark tied for 74th place with a 98/90/188.

West Fargo Sheyenne senior Andrew Wilhelm was the two-day medalist with a 70/69/139, which put him three-under par for the tournament.

The Lakers are back in action on Monday, heading to Bemidji Town and Country Club for a 19-team meet that begins at 9:00 am. They will host a two-day tournament this Friday and Saturday at the Detroit Country Club before heading to Headwaters Golf Course in Park Rapids on Monday for the Mid-State Conference meet. The Lakers have won 27 consecutive Mid-State Conference titles.
