Annual Lakes Area St. Jude Radiothon Aims to Help End Childhood Cancer

DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – Leighton Broadcasting stations, KDLM, 102.3 KRCQ & WAVE 104.1 will be encouraging Lakes Area residents to help support the St. Jude Research Children’s Hospital during the St. Jude Radiothon, Thursday and Friday, April 20th and 21st.

The stations are teaming up to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer and encouraging Lakes Area residents to become a Partner in Hope with a $19-a-month donation by calling 1-800-455-9196 or donating online at stjude.org/radio/krcq.

Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago.

When you make a $19 per month donation, you’ll receive a St. Jude ‘We Won’t Stop’ t-shirt.
