WE Fest a Big Event for Boys & Girls Clubs of Detroit Lakes & Perham

DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – The Boys & Girls Clubs in Detroit Lakes and Perham are seeking volunteers to help provide food and beverage service to VIP guests at WE Fest this year.

Volunteers help the club raise funds for the Boys & Girls Club by donating their time in exchange for WE Fest music and camping passes. “They [WE Fest] ask us to get 300 volunteers to fill 1400 hours, our budget for 2022 is $1.2 million so that $50,000-$60,000 coming from WE Fest is a huge thing for our budget,” said Pat Petermann, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Detroit Lakes.

3 hours of volunteering helps provide 30 healthy snacks for kids, while a volunteer that helps out for the 3-day event can help cover the cost of yearly membership fees at the Boys & Girls Club for two club members.

More than 100 volunteers are still needed for the WE Fest Weekend, to volunteer you’re encouraged to visit the Boys & Girls club website.
