DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – A fire that broke out at a home located at 420 West Avenue in Detroit Lakes, Tuesday has been deemed an arson.
Detroit Lakes fire fighters were called to the house after a neighbor reported the blaze around 3 p.m., Tuesday. The home was unoccupied and under construction.
The state Fire Marshal’s Office has determined that the cause of the fire is likely an arson and are now offering a reward for information about fire.
The Detroit Lakes Police Department is also conducting a criminal investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the State Arson Hotline at 1-800-723-2020 or the Detroit Lakes Police Department at 218-847-4222.
