LITTLE FALLS — More than1,000 Minnesota National Guard soldiers will begin arriving home Friday from an 11-month deployment to the Middle East.
Members of the Brainerd-based 1-194 Task Force completed missions at 12 locations in nine countries.
The Minnesota troops assisted with evacuations in Kabul, Afghanistan, and provided medical screening and support for more than five thousand Afghan civilians in Kuwait.
Guard officials say Task Force leadership will return to the Rosemount Armory on February 5th.
