(KNSI/KDLM) – The price of gas could drop to about three dollars a gallon nationally in January.
Gas is already below three dollars in most of Central Minnesota.
As for next year’s forecast, the U.S. Energy Information Administration says the average gas price is expected to be $2.88 a gallon.
The price of gas was $3.42 a gallon one month ago. Triple-A says it has now fallen to $3.34. The Northeast and Western U.S. are paying the most for gas. The South and most of the Midwest are enjoying cheaper prices.
