DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – Detroit Lakes elementary students helped “Fill the Yetti” with more than 3400 lbs of food for the Becker County Food Pantry.
Students at Rossman and Roosevelt schools in Detroit Lakes collected non perishable food items over the last several weeks. The food was then put into a Yetti brand fish house from J&K Marine and transported to the Pantry.
In total, students raised 3,470 pounds of food in an effort to ensure everyone in the Lakes Area is able to receive a holiday meal this year. “Fill the Yetti” is an annual event hosted by Leighton Broadcasting, J&K Marine and Builders FirstSource.
