DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – Minnesota’s largest day of giving, Give to the Max Day is Thursday.
The 24-hour online fundraising event helps support thousands of nonprofits and schools across Minnesota.
Last year, a record year, more than $30 million was raised, the event has now raised more than $294 million in its 13 years.
Lakes Area nonprofits participating this year include the Becker County Food Pantry, Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge, Boys & Girls Club of Detroit Lakes, the Becker County Museum and Lakes Crisis and Resource Center.
